Draw, Paint, Create with Todd Tremeer
October 6 – 27, 2021
Wednesdays, 6:00 – 9:00 pm. 4 week session. On Zoom.
Explore the craft of drawing and painting with artist Todd Tremeer. Apply the rules of perspective, light, shade and texture to make original art at home through online instruction.
Instructor Summary: Use and combine your favorite art tools: pencil, ballpoint pen, pencil crayon and watercolor paint. Learn to select the best tool for the job. Pencil is best for careful linework; charcoal and watercolor is good for fast dark shading. Discover how and why pencils come in different hardnesses. Each 3 hour session will balance between short focused skill-building exercises and one or two sustained multi-week ‘long drawings’. To take advantage of online learning, look for U-tube links and jpgs in your email a few days prior to each online session. Through these links I’ll show you historical artists technically or creatively related to the week’s lesson. I’m also eager to share favourite online documentaries related to specific artists and their creative process.
