Drama & Improvisational Theatre with Adam Wilkinson

Join the talented Adam Wilkinson on an adventure to explore hidden talents both on stage and off. Learn the technique of Drama and the portrayal of fictional or non-fictional events through the performance of written dialog. We will be using a variety of improv games and drama activities to create characters and situations that will later be written into scenes and monologues for a performance.

* Anyone 16 to adult, please give us a call to see if we have enough interest for that age group.

Meet your instructor

Adam Lloyd Wilkinson is a graduate of Humber College: School of Comedy. He has performed comedy in various forms all over Toronto in a number of sketch/improv troupes. More recently working with a sketch troupe LLAADS and performing monthly at The Theatre on King in Peterborough.

Adam toured for 7 years with the company Mad Science Productions, and a writer and performer in an amazing puppet company Rock The Arts, check them out online rock the arts puppets online of Ottawa, Ontario. Now he has found his way to Durham Improv. Along with Stephanie Herrera, Adam has been able to create Durham’s only “Mixed Abilities” Improv team. Adam has played more different characters than number of shows as he has performed a smorgasbord of Murder Mystery dinner theatre from Midland to Kingston.

Adam’s goal is to bring Arts & Recreation to people of all abilities to encourage inclusion, awareness and most of all FUN. Adam does this with Abilities Centre and Community Living and now online. Adam has enjoyed his years with A Gift of Art, creating scripts and performances with the future leagues of performers.
