James Dobos – Joey Moloney & The Badger Lake Adventure

James is a supporter of the arts and love seeing the work of talented artist on display. Now a media production teacher, his interest in creative writing began as a student in Courtice, Ontario.

Richard Thake – The Thistlewaite Trilogy

Richard Thake began his writing career at Maclean-Hunter Publishing company in Toronto as a news reporter and feature writer on Marketing Magazine for two years.  He then moved to F.H. Hayhurst Co. Ltd., one of Canada’s largest advertising agencies in Toronto, where he created a number of award-winning creative advertising campaigns, including “Turtles”, among others.

His first children’s book, featuring “Sir Seth Thistlethwaite” was published by Owlkids Books in 2010.  It was followed by a second book a year later and a third book in 2012.

Now retired and living in Wilmot Creek, Richard has just started writing a fourth book in the “Sir Seth” series which, hopefully, will be available next year.
