Soapstone Carving with Peter Martin on Zoom

March 8 – 22, 2021

Mondays. 2:00 – 4:00 pm. 3 week session (virtual).

Peter Martin will help you gain a better understanding of the beauty and techniques used in the ancient Inuit art form of soapstone carving. Join Peter for a relaxing timeout carving, shaping and finishing a Soapstone figure. Soapstone carvings often become a family treasure, passed down through the generations.

This is a Zoom Class but you will need to visit the gallery before the session begins to pick up a Materials Package ($25.00) with the rough cut project, finishing materials and the “loan” of a four in hand file (if needed). Gallery visits are currently by appointment only.

Member Cost: $30.00
Non-Member: $35.00
Material Cost: $25.00, paid directly to the gallery when you pick up your Materials Package.

Registration is a two-step process:
