About us
We are a not-for-profit organization based in Newcastle, Ontario. We love art and are passionately working to promote its appreciation, enjoyment and growth in our local area. We are an art gallery, a gift shop, and a teaching facility for local artists and residents, all in one.
We welcome everyone who is passionate and appreciates any form of art, to drop by and browse through our collection or sign up for a totally accessible workshop or class.
As a non-profit organization, we appreciate and welcome donations. Donations can be directed to specific areas such as kids’ activities, programs and supplies.

Mission Statement
To enhance the enjoyment and growth of the arts in the Clarington area through exhibits, events, a retail outlet, demonstrations of the performing arts and workshops in various media.
A Gift of Art is a convivial place where the public of all abilities and ages may drop by.
Take a class in the totally accessible workshop, see the work on display and hopefully leave with an appreciation for all art forms.
About the gallery space
The two-floor gallery only hosts art done by local artists and artisans. All the art in our gallery is also for sale. We have a room reserved upstairs for monthly solo exhibitions.

• Gift Certificates
A Gift of Art has gift certificates available in $5, $10, $15, $20, $25, $30, $50 and $75 denominations. You can ask us for a different denomination as well. They can be used towards the cost of a class or to buy something from the gallery.

A. During the school year, we have one-day craft camps on PA days 9am-4pm, art and craft weeks over the holiday breaks, and a Saturday Art Club. We have a weekly art camp the summer. You can also enroll children for only 1 day or a few days for the week long camps.
A. We recommend going to Intown Gallery in Bowmanville.
A. We will enroll you in the class and snail mail you the invoice.
