Spring Birch Trees

Margaret Brackley

This piece done by Margaret Brackley is done in alcohol ink and depicts a bright green and blue forest of bare birch trees, spread across the vibrant green and yellow ground. The green and yellow ground catches your eyes as the alcohol ink appears to bubble and form circles. Creating an amazing ground texture that you can’t look away from. The birch trees in this scene have a similar effect the bright white and their staggered placement in the forest makes them feel as if they are closer and almost jumping out of the frame with incredible realness. The vibrant colours of this artwork pop against the black box frame.
