A Gift of Christmas Show and Sale

On Sunday, December 3rd, 2017 we will have a vendor sale in-house at A Gift of Art. There will also be a portrait event with Santa and your family or your pet.

 

 

Speaker’s Series Winter 2017-2018

*Schedule subject to change, more speakers to be added

Each week a community member will provide a talk on an area of interest or expertise and it’s free! A variety of fascinating topics will be covered and refreshments are provided.

The talks will happen on Wednesday at 10:30am – 11:30am, but doors will open at 10 am and there will be light refreshments available like tea and coffee.

Previous Events

Newcastle’s Art Show



We had our 10th annual artist and artisan show and sale on July 8th and 9th, 2017 at the Newcastle Memorial Arena. The show featured 60+ vendors, live art demonstrations, musical entertainment, and a special activity area for kids, and admission was free!
We will hold the next one in July 2018.

 

Harvest Festival

Newcastle held a Harvest Festival downtown on October 7th. We had some free pumpkin painting for kids, and cut-outs to put your head through! Also some hot chocolate~

 

Meet the Teachers, September 16th, 2017

We held a meet-art-the-teachers at A Gift of Art on September 16th, 2017, for the upcoming fall classes.

Newcastle’s 150th Canada Day Celebrations

Took place on June 17th 2017 at 9am on the “Library Lawn” 150 King Ave. East Newcastle ON.
We unveiled Canada’s 150th celebration creations funded by Community Foundations of Canada & Ontario Trillium Foundation.

 

Girl’s Night Out

An evening of beauty, fashion, and fun! A Girl’s Night Out is an annual event taking place at the end of April, with part of the proceeds going to support the fight against ovarian cancer. Tickets include: caricatures, hairstyling, henna, facial consultation, make-up, manicure, massage, psychic or tarot readings, and much more! Don’t miss this lovely evening of relaxation with live music, appetizers, vendors, and chances to win fabulous prizes! Check back next Spring for information about tickets.

 

Mayor’s Gala

The Mayor’s Gala “For the Love of Art” is an annual formal gala benefitting the arts in Clarington, including A Gift of Art as well as the Visual Arts Centre. Held near the end of February, this spectacular event features live music, art demonstrations, silent auction, and more! Stay tuned for more information about next year’s event.

Orono Fair

September 7th – 10th, 2017
A Gift of Art had a booth in the arena where you could ask questions, sign-up for classes and had a free raffle for 3 Family Memberships. Those who won have been emailed~

 

Volunteer Fair at the Firehouse
